AMMAN — Around 30 Jordanians who have been stranded in Japan and Philippines in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic are expected to arrive in the Kingdom on Sunday.
Since the beginning of the crisis, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and the COVID-19 Crisis Management Cell have been coordinating with Jordanian embassies abroad to expedite “complex” logistical procedures to ensure the return of Jordanians stranded abroad under strict health and safety conditions, according to Jordanian Ambassador to Japan Lina Annab, who spoke to Petra's Tokyo correspondent.
The ambassador commended the cadres that have contributed to facilitating the return process, especially the Japanese foreign ministry and airports authority, and Qatar Airways.
