30 local businesses closed in first week of Ramadan

AMMAN — Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) inspection teams closed 30 commercial properties in the first week of Ramadan for failing to meet health requirements, an official said on Sunday.

MervetMhairat, director of the health monitoring department at GAM, said four tonnes of food items have been destroyed in addition to 200 litres of drinks sold by vendors.
