48% of students pass Shamel winter session

SALT — Results of the 2015 winter session of the Shamel exam, the annual comprehensive final exam for community college students, were announced on Thursday.
Al Balqa Applied University President Nabil Shawaqfeh, who is also head of the higher committee for the exam, said 7,248 students sat for the exam, 3,481 of whom passed, bringing the overall pass rate to 48.03 per cent.
Students represented 45 public, private and military colleges in 90 specialisations, he added.
