AMMAN — Five members of the Jordan Housing Developers Association’s administrative body on Monday submitted their resignations.
Zeid Al Tamimi, Sultan Hassan and Sami Ghannam submitted their resignations, while Ashraf Khalaf and Wael Shehadeh, had resigned earlier, as well as the reserve members refused to join the association, making the total number of resigned members to five, out of nine.
The resignations were handed to the Interior Ministry, the body in charge of the Kingdom’s associations, Tamimi said, noting that the members tendered their resignations on grounds of one-sided decisions, denying the participation of administrative body in the management of the affairs of the association, taking decisions violating the association’s system, regulations and laws without presenting them to the members, which has made serving the sector and the association’s members impossible.
Article 19 of the associations law stipulates that the competent minister shall appoint a temporary administrative body, following the loss of quorum, due to resignation or death, he noted.
