9,667 additional families to receive monthly aid from National Aid Fund

AMMAN — A total of 9,667 families were added to the list of beneficiaries of the temporary and recurrent monthly aid of the National Aid Fund, raising the total number of beneficiary families to 92,519 by the end of 2017, Fund President Basma Ishaqat said on Monday.

Ishaqat told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that the fund expanded its programme to enrol members of beneficiary families in vocational and technical training programmes, with the aim of economically empowering them, noting that 285 members were offered jobs in the local market.

She said that the fund has started providing additional aid to underprivileged families with a maximum monthly value of JD90 under the social security network.
