ACC issued 18,931 certificates of origin in 1st seven months of 2022

AMMAN —  Certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) for goods’ exporting purposes during the first seven months of 2022 were valued at JD506 million, compared with JD392 million for the same period in 2021, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Sunday. 

The number of certificates of origin issued during the January-July period of 2022 was 18,931, compared with 20,312 for the same period in 2021. 

A total of 4,645 certificates of origin went to Saudi Arabia, followed by 2,479 to the UAE, 778 to Iraq, 518 to Egypt and 99 to India, according to Petra. 

The Amman Chamber of Commerce issues certificates of origin for local agricultural and animal produce as well as industrial products, foreign goods that are being re-exported, and foreign goods purchased from the local market, under certain conditions.
