Accession to Throne celebrations to continue at Cultural Palace

AMMAN — The organising committee of the 20th Accession to the Throne ceremony, which took place on Tuesday under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah, has announced that celebrations are still ongoing across the Kingdom.

The Cultural Palace at Al Hussein Youth City is scheduled to open its doors to the public for celebrations at 5pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The event, organised by the Yarmouk, Mutah, Al Hussein Bin Talal and Hashemite universities, along with the University of Jordan and the Jordan University for Science and Technology will be open to everyone.

His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania and HRH Crown Prince Hussein, attended a ceremony at the Cultural Palace on Tuesday along with hundreds of young Jordanians from around the Kingdom.

The ceremonial events will include the stories of successful Jordanians and institutions, national songs, plays and folklore shows.
