Alleged thief apprehended in Central Badia

AMMAN — The authorities arrested an Arab national accused of stealing JD4,700 in the Central Badia district, according to a Public Security Department statement on Saturday.
The Criminal Investigations Department were informed of the suspected thief’s whereabouts by an alleged victim, who told the police that stolen money was stashed in the back of the suspect’s car, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The suspect was apprehended carrying JD3,830 and is reported to have confessed to the crime during questioning.
