Amman Chamber of Industry exports reach JD783m

AMMAN — Exports of the Amman Chamber of Industry reached JD783 million in the first two months of 2019, compared with JD663 million for the same period in 2018.

The mining industries accounted for JD276 million of the exports for the two months, chemical and cosmetic products accounted for JD174 million and the leather and garment sectors exported JD75 million worth of goods, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Exports of food, agriculture and livestock stood at JD73 million, treatment and medical supplies at JD59 million, the engineering, electrical and ICT sectors at JD57 million and the packaging, paper, and office supplies sectors at JD33 million.

The rest of the chamber’s exports included plastic and rubber products, at JD25 million; construction industries, at JD9 million; and woodwork and furniture, at JD2 million.
