AMMAN — Occupancy rates in Aqaba hotels, especially in the five-star hotels overlooking the beach, stood at around 95 per cent during Eid Al Adha, according to Sharhabil Madi, investment and economic affairs commissioner in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA).
Madi said ASEZA was prepared to present the “best services” to Aqaba visitors and opened an operations centre to address their needs, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.
Aqaba Governor Hakem Mahamid said the city did not witness any incident during the holiday, attributing some traffic jams to the high number of vacationers in the city, 330km south of Amman.
