AMMAN — Deputising for HRH Crown Prince Hussein, Tourism Minister Nayef Fayez on Monday attended the opening of the City Talk Forum for Arab influencers.

The forum, held at the King Hussein Convention Centre at the Dead Sea and co-organised by the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) and Omnes Media, hosted 500 Arab influencers, several public figures and representatives from the media and tourism sectors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Fayez said that the event was held at the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, chosen for its status as a notable tourist destination that attracts thousands of tourists from the region and the world.

CEO of Omnes Media Fahed Deeb said that the company attaches great importance to all issues related to influencers, whose work has become a profitable profession and an important feature of the business world.

JTB Director General Abdulrazzaq Arabiat highlighted the importance of the marketing process, meeting market needs and trends as well as developing tools to adapt to new technology.

The three-day forum hosts influencers from various Arab countries, who will discuss the latest developments in influencing and media promotion.

The event includes six panel discussions and six workshops as well as special meetings and talks with top Arab influencers.

The forum also includes field visits and tours of prominent tourist attractions in Jordan, under the supervision of the JTB. The board hopes that the tours will shed light on these sites’ importance on the global level.
