Army chief discusses cooperation with Turkish counterpart

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat on Tuesday discussed with Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar, the latest regional and international developments and ways of cooperation and coordination to best serve the interest of both armies, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, the two chiefs signed a military cooperation agreement. Akar visited the Turkish martyrs’ cemetery in Salt, 35km northwest of Amman, and laid a wreath on the memorial.
