AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Tuesday responded to “rumours” on social media claiming it had sold an air base land in Amman for JD1.5 billion. In a statement, JAF explained that technical reasons and the location of the air defence site in Amman have made it unfeasible for military purposes, but JAF-owned lands “are not for sale”, announcing that the plot of land will be used for a project that “benefits JAF and its personnel”.
