Authorities isolate part of Mafraq village after virus infection reported

AMMAN — Authorities in Mafraq on Monday isolated part of a neighbourhood in Ain Bani Hassan, a village of 1,500 residents, after a COVID-19 infection was reported in the area, Mafraq Governor Yasser Adwan told the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The new patient had contracted the virus from contacts of a truck driver who was first confirmed to be infected in Al Khanasari village in Mafraq, Adwan said, adding that epidemiological inspection teams will test the contacts of the individual, according to Petra.
