Authorities seek increased tourism activity in Balqa

AMMAN — The Tourism Ministry is planning to develop the sector in Balqa Governorate in a way that suits its environment and ancient heritage, Tourism Minister Nidal Katamine said Tuesday.
He added that the popularity of the Salt tourist route has proved the success of tourist plans aimed at putting the city on the tourist map, and contributed to making tourists enjoy the city’s heritage.
Katamine said these factors will encourage tourists to stay longer in the Kingdom.
Balqa Tourism Director Ayman Abu Jamleh reviewed some of the major tourism projects in the city aimed at encouraging more tourists to visit.
