AMMAN — The Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on Monday called on concerned authorities to provide all news and information about the novel coronavirus in sign language as well as in Braille for people with visual impairments.

In a statement, the council called for additional protection measures for persons with disabilities. Additionally, it called on the managements of homes for people with disabilities to conduct sterilisation and implement preventive measures.

Persons with disabilities can contact the council’s hotline (0799625706) for any inquiries related to COVID-19, the statement said.
