Awqaf Ministry issues procedures for safe reopening of mosques this week

AMMAN — Awqaf Minister Muhammad Khalaileh on Sunday issued a circular to awqaf directors on procedures and regulations to be followed as mosques reopen for Friday prayer this week.
Khalaileh stressed the importance of cleaning and sterilising all mosques before reopening them and providing sanitisers, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The minister called on citizens and mosque employees to wear masks and gloves and highlighted the importance of placing markers in all mosques directing attendees where to pray in order to ensure that social distancing is practiced during prayers.
