Azaizeh to join UfM conference on women’s empowerment

AMMAN — Social Development Minister Wajih Azaizeh will join over 250 participants at a conference on women’s empowerment, which opens on Monday in Barcelona, organised by the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Secretariat.
The conference will focus on women as drivers of sustainable development, inclusive growth and job creation; women as key actors in the fight against extremism and radicalisation; and women, mobility and migration, the UfM said in a statement.
