Bangladesh urged to check ages of workers before sending them to Jordan

AMMAN — Labour Minister Ali Ghezawi on Monday met the Bangladeshi Minister of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Nurul Islam, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Ghezawi said the ministry is committed to protecting the legal rights of guest workers.
He called on authorities in Bangladesh to ensure that workers heading to Jordan undergo medical checks and that their ages are verified before they depart to Jordan.
