Border Guards foil smuggling of 157,000 narcotic pills

AMMAN — Border Guards foiled an attempt to smuggle 157,000 narcotic pills at dawn on Friday, in which two persons who were coming from the Syrian territories were involved, according to an official source from the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF).
The source said the border guards implemented the rules of engagement, and one of the two persons involved was killed while the other fled to the Syrian side.
The seized narcotics were sent to the concerned parties, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, quoted the JAF source as saying.
