Cabinet appoints new SSC chief, sends top officials to pension

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Monday appointed Ezzedine Kanakrieh as director general of the Social Security Corporation and Abdul Hakim Shibli as secretary general of the Finance Ministry, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Kanakrieh, the former secretary general of the Finance Ministry, replaced Nadia Rawabdeh, who went into retirement as she reached 55.
Meanwhile, local news outlets reported that the chairperson of the Social Security Investment Fund Suheir Al-Ali has also left office, with Ammonnews quoting the official as saying that she did not resign or referred to retirement, but her contract expires on May 5.
No official statements were made by the government on her case.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet also decided to refer Director General of Jordan Institution for Standards and Metrology Haydar Al Zaben to pension and appoint Rula Madanat as his successor.
The Council of Minister appointed Mohammad Omari as director general of the Jordan News Agency, Petra, replacing Feisal Shboul.
The council decided to renew the contract of Amani Azzam as the secretary general of the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry.
The Cabinet also decided not to renew the contract of Abdullah Qudah as director general of the Institute of Public Administration and accepting the resignation of Dima Khleifat, secretary general of the National Registry of Societies at the Social Development Ministry.
The Cabinet also accepted the resignation of the CEO of the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation Maher Al Mahrouq.
