Cabinet approves establishment of nanotechnology centre

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Wednesday approved establishing the King Abdullah II Centre for Nanotechnology in the Higher Council for Science and Technology, and connecting it to the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau.
The Council of Ministers approved allocating JD14 million to the centre to buy advanced equipment for its laboratories.
The Cabinet also endorsed the immediate implementation of the expansion of grain silos in the new Aqaba Port, as well as a UNICEF protocol under which the agency will provide the Ministry of Social Development with a grant to present alternative care for Syrian refugee children who are not accompanied by their families.
