Campaign against water theft launched in Jerash, Karak

AMMAN — The Water Ministry’s Water Authority has implemented a security campaign to remove illegal fixtures on water mains that siphon off drinking water to fill water tankers and divert water to farms in Jerash and Karak. In Jerash, ministry’s personnel detected the drilling of an illegal well and closed it, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. In Karak, several violations were detected on water mains to fill tankers and divert drinking water to farms. The ministry urged the public to  report any violations through the phone number 117116.
