On-campus activities to resume in early October — Touq

AMMAN — Academic activities held on campus will resume as of the beginning of 2020-2021 academic year in early October, Higher Education Minister Muhyiddine Touq announced on Monday, ruling out remote education.

The minister's remarks came during his meeting with Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Musa Maaytah, Youth Minister Fares Braizat and deans of student affairs at Jordanian universities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During the meeting, Touq said that the Higher Education Ministry, the Health Ministry and the epidemiological committee are preparing a specific protocol to provide all means of safety, in accordance with the government's decisions to combat and prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
