CDD chief meets Japan delegation, Kuwait military attaché

AMMAN — Civil Defence Department (CDD) Director Maj. Gen. Mustafa Bazayah on Wednesday received a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation System and discussed providing the department with the latest equipment and vehicles to improve performance.

Bazayah praised the central role of Japan  in supporting the department, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The head of the Japanese delegation commended the “advanced” level of the CDD, expressing her country’s readiness to fund projects that can help develop the CDD.

Also on Wednesday, Bazayah met with Kuwaiti Military Attaché in Amman Brig. Gen. Turki Mashal over means to enhance cooperation between the two countries’ civil defence apparatuses, mainly in training fields. Mashal commended the role of the Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II Academy of Civil Protection, which has enrolled Kuwaiti students, Petra added.
