AMMAN — Civil Defence Department (CDD) divers have pulled the body of a young man, who drowned on Saturday, from the Wadi Al Arab Dam in the northern Shuneh region.
The Public Security Directorate's (PSD) spokesperson said that the rescue operations took place between Saturday evening and Monday afternoon, noting that the site's tough geographic features, limited visibility under the dam's water and interlocking trees hindered the search.
The divers managed to remove the body and transferred it to hospital, according to a PSD directorate.
