Chinese embassy, Tkiyet Um Ali renew cooperation agreement

AMMAN — The Chinese embassy in Amman and Tkiyet Um Ali on Tuesday renewed an agreement for the second consecutive year, under which China will help the organisation’s programmes in providing sustainable food support and enhancing strategic partnerships.

As per the agreement, the Chinese embassy will also financially support several families benefitting from the tkiyet programmes for sustainable food support, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Pan Weifang highlighted the important role of Tkiyet Um Ali in developing local communities in the Kingdom, expressing his appreciation for the institution’s role in continuously assisting families that suffer from food poverty.

Tkiyet Um Ali is now on track to raise the number of beneficiary families to 40,000 before the year’s end, according to its website.
