Conference on nuclear energy opens

AMMAN — The 2015 Nuclear International Conference opened in Jordan on Monday with the participation of 127 experts from 30 Arab and foreign countries.
Organised by Goodnight International Inc. in cooperation with the Jordan University of Science and Technology and the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC), the conference is aims to raise awareness of nuclear activities and their importance in addressing energy challenges around the world.
Delivering an address on behalf of Energy Minister Mohammad Hamed, JAEC Chairman Khaled Toukan said that the whole world is facing energy problems since electricity demand is expected to double by 2030.
