Conference on refugee crisis begins

AMMAN — A three-day international conference titled “Dealing with Refugees, Challenges and Opportunities” began on Tuesday in Amman. The conference was organised by the Higher Population Council, in partnership with Erasmus/EU with the support of the Salto EuroMed Foundation.

The event saw the participation of representatives of associations and experts from European and local authorities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The conference aims to achieve several objectives, highlighting Jordan’s experience in responding to the impact of the Syrian crisis despite the scarcity of resources and lack of external support as a model in refugee response.
