AMMAN — The Amman Magistrates Court on Monday adjourned a hearing on a complaint filed by Independent Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions President Azzam Smadi against General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions President Mazen Maaytah.
The session was adjourned to May 31 because Maaytah failed to show up. Smadi filed a lawsuit against Maaytah over a case of “seditious libel” for describing the Independent Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions as mercenaries and no more than 10 people in an interview with the Arab Workers News Agency.
