AMMAN — HRH Crown Prince Hussein on Thursday attended a military drill carried out by the 43rd Sharif Nasser Bin Jamil Mechanised Battalion, one of the Southern 

Military Zone's units.

Upon his arrival, the Crown Prince was received by Southern Military Zone Commander Brig. Gen. Adnan Majali and several officers from the command, according to a Royal Court statement.

Prince Hussein and attendees observed the military exercise and its practical applications, which included planning and implementing several operations and procedures based on intelligence to respond to potential threats.

The practical applications included the “optimal utilisation” of all the available elements to best facilitate the mission, with focus on unconventional combat methods and dealing with scenarios inspired by regional conditions.

Civil defence and Gendarmerie personnel participated in executing the exercise.

The Crown Prince expressed his admiration at the “high level” of skill and accuracy of the personnel executing the drill.

He also voiced his pride in the high morale enjoyed by the battalion’s staff and other participants and in the level of proficiency and coordination they showed while implementing the drill.
