Czech Republic donates medical equipment to KAUH

AMMAN — The Czech mission in Jordan has provided the King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH) with medical equipment worth $215,000.
The grant included 10 beds, three intensive care beds, three beds for Caesarean section surgery, five patient transport trolleys, five newborn transport carts, five cauterising devices for operations and five operation kits, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
KAUH Director General Muhammad Ghazo during the ceremony expressed his appreciation for the Czech donation, which he says will enhance service provision.
Czech Ambassador to Jordan Josef Koutsky said that the medical equipment is intended to help address increasing number of patients, especially among Syrian refugees.
The envoy also toured the hospital wards that benefitted from the grant, and discussed enhancing cooperation in various related fields.
