AMMAN — Minister of Awqaf Hayel Dawood on Sunday condemned the “provocative and unfair” Israeli acts that prevented Muslims from performing prayers at Al Aqsa Mosque on Friday.
The occupation forces installed several security blocks on the roads leading to Jerusalem and deployed large numbers of its soldiers to hinder the entry of worshippers into the mosque.
Dawood said that such procedures represent a clear violation of the rights of the 1.7 billion Muslims around the world, calling the incident “an act of terrorism that the world must stand against”.
He added that Israel is the only state that bans worshippers from entering holy sites.
