AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State Rajai Muasher on Saturday met with a delegation from the US Congress at the Prime Ministry to discuss the recent developments regarding the Palestinian issue and the Syrian crisis, the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Deputising for Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, Muasher expressed his appreciation to the US’ continued support which helps Jordan overcome its economic challenges.

He highlighted that the Palestinian issue tops Jordan’s internal and external priorities, stressing the Palestinians’ right to an independent state.

The minister also said that reducing UNRWA’s financial allocations will bear negative consequences on the Palestinian refugees. On the Syrian crisis, Muasher expressed Jordan’s readiness to offer help for Syrians inside Syrian lands, noting that Jordan has reached its maximum capacity and cannot host any more refugees.
