Driver attacks officer with baton after obstructing traffic

AMMAN — A driver, who was parking his car and obstructing traffic, on Friday attacked a traffic police officer in Aqaba with a baton, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The driver insulted and attacked the traffic police officer who managed to arrest him. The traffic officer was admitted to the hospital after suffering an arm fracture.
A source added that the attacker, who was allegedly drunk and has a criminal record, was referred to the general prosecutor.
