Edraak launches online computer course

AMMAN — Edraak, a Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development (QRF) initiative, on Saturday announced the launch of a new free online course titled "An introduction to computer science" accredited by Harvard University, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The entry-level course, CS50x, offered in Arabic, aims to build students' capabilities and teach them “how to adopt computational thinking to solve problems efficiently”. Edraak, in a statement carried Petra announced that the new course will be available for all people interested in programming, specialists and non-specialists, as of July 30 without any prerequisite courses.
Students, who secure an average, no less than 70 per cent, will be awarded with certificates.
