Eid security plans activated — PSD

AMMAN — The Public Security Department (PSD) announced that it had activated its security plans for the eid holiday as of Wednesday morning.

In a press statement, the PSD said it is taking a number of security measures, mainly in intensifying police patrols within residential and commercial areas.

Inspection points will be reinforced in various governorates, and the Criminal Investigation Directorate patrols will be intensified in densely populated areas.

The PSD added that the traffic department will spread its patrols in public markets, main roads and in front of mosques to deal with the traffic situation witnessed during the holiday period.

The PSD urged citizens to make sure that their homes and valuables are secured, in addition to be vigilant of pickpockets while shopping.
