Election commission endorses regulations to raise awareness

AMMAN — The Independent Elections Commission’s (IEC) board of commissioners on Sunday endorsed its awareness and voter education regulations.

The IEC said the regulations aim at increasing public awareness of the need for effective participation in politics in general, and elections in particular.

Commissioner Samar Haj Hassan said the regulations were issued to complete the IEC’s policies and highlight its role.
