Ensour chairs panel meeting on draft investment fund law

AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the ministerial committee responsible for drafting the investment fund law, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The meeting was held to review the progress of the committee’s work, examine international practices and define the concept of the fund.
His Majesty King Abdullah, in the Speech from the Throne at beginning of the 17th Parliament’s ordinary session, directed the government to present a draft law for an investment fund that attracts investments from Arab banks and funds, private sector institutions and individuals to implement national development projects that benefit the economy and those who contribute to the fund.
