AMMAN — Unstable weather conditions that affected the Kingdom on Wednesday and Thursday brought heavy rain to several regions in the Kingdom, an official at the Jordan Meteorological Department said on Thursday.

According to the meteorologist, who did not give his name, the highest rainfall was registered in the town of Wadi Musa — around 235km south of Amman — which received 16 millimetres until 2pm on Thursday.

“The unstable conditions are over and temperatures are forecast to rise in the coming days,” he told The Jordan Times.

The weather will be stable on Friday, the meteorologist said, adding that it will be cold in hilly areas.

Temperatures in the capital will range between a high of 15°C and a low of 9°C, he noted.

Temperatures are forecast to increase on Saturday, reaching a maximum of 18°C in Amman and dropping to a minimum of 11°C.

Fair weather is expected on Sunday, according to the meteorologist, who said it will be warm until the middle of next week.
