AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Tuesday said Jordan has no political or security problems but faces challenges resulting from the Syrian crisis, which affect the national economy and people’s lives, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Fayez made his remarks during a meeting of the Senate Arab, International and Expatriate Affairs Committee, attended by its chair, Senator Abdul Ilah Khatib, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh.
During the meeting, Fayez stressed the importance of making the public aware of the results of the London donor conference to counter the rumours that say there are pressures on the Kingdom to settle Syrian refugees and integrate them into the national economy. Khatib said the meeting was aimed at briefing the committee on the current situation in the region and developments related to the Syrian crisis.
