FDA customs centre employees to now work round the clock

AMMAN — Director-General of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Nizar Mheidat on Sunday announced that the FDA will extend the working hours of its employees in customs centres at border crossings to simplify procedures for the food sector, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Employees will work around the clock, according to the recent announcement.
The announcement came following calls to expedite procedures of licensing and examining fresh, short-term food products and special food products with a shelf life of less than 6 months.
