AMMAN — The Finance Ministry said that its General Budget director, Mohammad Hazaima, handed in his resignation on Thursday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
A ministerial statement quoted by Petra said that Hazaima did not attend a ministerial meeting he was invited to, in order to review the national budget.
Hazaima also failed to attend another meeting held on Thursday to discuss the latest developments on the budget. The ministry has denied any dispute involving Hazaima, but stated instead that the former director “showed unwillingness to stay in his post”.
