Fines issued against shops, restaurants in Madaba

AMMAN — The Madaba public health and safety committee issued fines against eight sweets shops, restaurants and other shops that serve liquor during Ramadan for violating public health and safety conditions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Madaba Governor Khaled Armouti said that four coffee shops received warnings for violating public health standards and that they will be followed up on to ensure their commitment to licensing regulations. The inspection rounds are part of the Ramadan plan to ensure the best services are provided to the public, according to Petra.
