Fires in Tafileh, Ajloun extinguished

AMMAN – Civil Defence Department (CDD) cadres on Monday extinguished a fire that erupted in dry grass in Tafileh, some 180km southwest of Amman, a CDD statement said.
Tafileh CDD Director Col. Nayef Nawayseh urged against burning dry grass and called on picnickers to properly extinguish barbecue fires before leaving.
Also on Monday, Ajloun CDD personnel extinguished a fire that erupted in a 22-dunum wheat farm in Kufranjeh and caused damages to the crops, Ajloun CDD Director Col. Hani Smadi told the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
