AMMAN — Minister of State for Media Affairs and Government Spokesperson Jumana Ghunaimat on Saturday said that some Israelis in southern Jordan had lost contact with their families amid deadly flashfloods, which struck several areas and had claimed the lives of 12 people.
She explained that the government had reached out to the Israeli ambassador in Amman, who said they had no information on Israelis losing contact in the Kingdom.
She added that the Jordanian Embassy in Tel Aviv had contacted the Israeli Foreign Ministry in order to ascertain information and ask for the names of the missing Israelis, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Until now, four individuals have been found and had contacted their families, while information on other two is still uncertain, Ghunaimat said.
