AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has finished rehabilitating the entrance and exit of the King Hussein Medical City on King Abdullah II Street, establishing a separate lane to improve traffic flow, Omar Lozi, Amman city director, said on Saturday.

The project included building a median strip that separates the hospital from the street and prohibits motorists going through the Saeed Khair Tunnel to go into the medical city, in addition to establishing a parking space at the facility’s entrance for public transport vehicles, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Also on Saturday, GAM and KBW Jordan, a company owned by Saudi Prince Khalid Bin Al Walid, signed a memorandum of understanding to implement a solar project. Amman Mayor Aqel Biltaji and Prince Khalid, chairman of the company, signed the memo, Petra reported. The deal aims at building solar panels for lighting main and side streets inside GAM’s areas, as well as lighting buildings affiliated with the municipality.
