AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved the government to incur 2 per cent of tour guides' loans that they had already been granted through the Central Bank of Jordan's programme on supporting small- and medium-sized enterprises affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new decision aims at including tour guides in a previous decision that was made on May 31, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Council of Ministers also agreed to reschedule individual loans offered by the Development and Employment Fund with the aim of exempting some categories of the remaining interests. Meanwhile, the Cabinet approved the appointment of Mohammad Halaiqah as part-time CEO of the Economic and Social Council.
