Hammad meets with Arab Interior Ministers Council secretary general

AMMAN — Minister of Interior Salameh Hammad on Thursday met with the Secretary General of the Arab Interior Ministers Council Muhammad Koman, and discussed the aspects of joint Arab security it cooperation.

The officials reviewed the agenda items of the 37th session of the council, scheduled to be held in Tunisia in March, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The session will discuss security issues, including combating terrorism, drugs and other crimes.

Hammad stressed Jordan's keenness to implement the council’s decisions and recommendations and to provide all forms of support to the council’s general secretariat.

For his part, Koman praised the active and distinguished role of Jordan in the council and the Kingdom’s keenness to support and develop its work mechanism and its various apparatuses, especially the Arab Office for Drug Affairs. Koman also extended an invitation to Hammad to participate in the next session of the Council.
