AMMAN — A delegation from Harvard University visited the University of Jordan (UJ) on Sunday to explore opportunities for academic cooperation between the two institutions in various fields, including student and faculty exchange and research collaboration.

UJ President Nathir Obeidat, during a meeting with the academic delegation headed by Harvard President Lawrence Bacow, highlighted the university's focus on developing programmes that prioritise student employability as well as skills, knowledge and personal characteristics that prepare graduates for success in their professional lives and enhance scientific research output, according to a UJ statement.

The members of the guest delegation visited the university library, toured its facilities, and also met with students in the university’s “American Corner” to discuss environmental pollution, climate change and the role of youth in mitigating their effects. In addition, the delegation visited the archaeological and folk life museums on campus.
